Hunger triggers feelings of hunger and prepares the stomach to accept food. You should recognize if you have a hungry stomach, sometimes you may confuse the feeling of hunger for thirst. Take a glass of warm water the moment you get hungry. But you don't think you should be, maybe you ate something earlier. Drinking water fifteen minutes before meals lead to eating less. Hunger makes you distressed if not properly managed. It could result in a mild form of binge eating, as being famished leads to expectation of the food. This might result to a cycle of eating more. Here are tips to help you keep hunger in control and avoid the chance of eating compulsively. Gauge and manage hunger. Hunger has varied severities. The moment you feel hungry, mark the intensity of the hunger in your mind; 1 as a low degree of hunger and 5 as really hungry. Stop hunger if you can. You battle the hunger, and eating is curbed. Do you feel alright? Cherish your success! Eat mini meals. Hunger braces the stomach for food. Eat sparingly, and the food will taste better. This manner of eating will give you a blast of energy better than that of coffee. Be firm on how much to eat. Eat measured amounts of food, and ascertain how much is enough. Chew upon your meals well. Relax and take it slowly. Enjoy your food and indulge on each bite. Savor each moment as if tomorrow will never come. Drink at the end of the meal. Herbal tea is soothing, it is a nice drink after a meal and will aid in pulling you out of the habit of overeating. This allows the stomach the feeling of pleasure. Are you delighted now? Be pleased you are contented. The next time you are hungry, face it and be at peace. Hunger can cause the feeling of defeat. Dismiss it. Hunger causes uncomfortable feelings. Forget it. You can do it!
